CAN I GET A SAME-DAY APPOINTMENT?
I will always endeavour to see a client in need even if it means extending clinic hours. It is worth ringing and if I can't see you on the day I will offer an early appointment the following working day..
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
There are no hard and fast rules. Standard practice is to recommend an initial course of 6 sessions ideally one week apart, this gives a fair picture of the work and your response to it. I have clients who come for a specific issue and just take a few sessions. I have clients who come for ongoing support for lengthier periods of time (ie recipients of chemotherapy) and I have clients who view Craniosacral Therapy as part of their maintenance/personal healthcare and come every 3-6 weeks. Only you will know what is right for you.
WILL MY INSURANCE COVER MY VISIT?
Some private insurers cover Craniosacral Therapy. Please check with your provider. If your insurer does cover CST the protocol is that I receive payment from you and then you reclaim that payment from your provider.
WHAT HAPPENS IN AN APPOINTMENT?
Having taken a case history, the client will usually lie face up on the treatment couch, fully clothed having removed their shoes. Treatment is very gentle, clients often fall asleep.
DO YOU OFFER CONCESSIONS?
I have a limited number of lower-cost clinic places and there is always a waiting list. These places are reserved for people who genuinely could not afford to access the work any other way, ie students, those in receipt of benefits etc. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, please contact me with your details. Please do not ask for one of these places if you are not in genuine need, it takes a much-needed slot.
